At night, do you hear what sounds like elephants running through your attic? When the weather gets colder, the rats move inside. Being a rodent exterminator can be difficult work that requires industry knowledge and experience. To achieve rat control, Soles Exterminating follows a 4-step process:
- Inspection—Before the rat removal begins, we must first determine where the rodents are entering the structure. During the inspection, we will search for common access points and weak spots. Rats only need a hole that is 1 inch in diameter to get into your home; if they can squeeze their head through, they can squeeze the rest of their body through.
- Exclusion—Once the access points are identified, the potential points of entry need to be closed. Our pest control technicians can typically close these minor openings, but it will be left to the customer to close (or have someone close) any major openings.
- Trapping—Inconspicuous and secured traps are set within your home to catch and trap any rodents that find a way inside the structure.
- Reduction—After a thorough inspection of the exterior, weighted bait stations are strategically positioned to cut down on the surrounding rat population. These stations are then monitored and re-baited as necessary by one of our trained technicians.
